I am currently (Fall 2007) a freshman at Wasilla High School.  I attended Teeland Middle School in the Mat-Su Borough.  Both schools are located approximately 50 miles north of Anchorage.  There are approx. 1250 students at WHS and our school won both boys and girls state basketball championships last season.

Leadership

I have been involved in Student Government during both 7th and 8th grade.  I was a photographer for yearbook and took a lot of pride in our final product.  I was a finalist for the Kiwanis for community service and leadership

Academic

Achieved Honor roll in middle school with a  3.8 GPA.  I am currently enrolled in Honors English class.   I enjoyed being the student speaker for Teeland Middle School Promotion, 2007

Athletic

-All tournament Team 2005 and 2006 middle school basketball as starting point guard and captain for Teeland Middle School Lady Titans (holds record for most 3 pointers in career)

-Championship basketball team in Mat-Valley comp league spring 2007

-Championship volleyball team 2007

-Member of Wasilla High varsity basktball during summer of 2007 (team placed 3rd at Fairbanks team camp)

Other Interests

I enjoy all kinds of dance including jazz, hip hop, and tap.  I like being a member of the track team and competed in the 110 meter hurdles.  I recently started taking piano lessons.

Family

I have two older sisters.  My oldest sister played basketball at UAA during the 2006-2007 season.  Both of my older sisters are currently playing at Peninsula College in Port Angeles Washington.   My mom is a licensed therapist and teaches at Wasilla High, my dad is principal at Talkeetna and Trapper Creek Elementary schools.
