Scout Report:
A great point guard is extremely important in the success of a team and the Palmer Moose advanced to the Alaska State 4A Tournament for the first time in 7 years behind the outstanding play and leadership of Matti Cox! The Moose placed 4th at the tournament and with Matti at the helm are an early favorite for conference and state championships next year!
Matti has so many positive attributes it is hard to list them all. First, she is an incredible leader. Always positive, upbeat, and the pulse of the team on and off the floor. She is always prepared physically and mentally and very dedicated in off-season conditioning. Offensively, Matti has been the starting point guard since her Sophomore year. She excels at penetrating the defense and dishing to the post or pulling up in the lane for a short jumper. Matti has great vision and ablility to get the ball to the open player. Defensively, Matti creates havoc on the front of the press and can shut down the best guards. Overall, Matti possesses everything you would want in a point guard and will be solid at the college level!
Matti was selected to the '07 Team Alaska Spring travel team. She also competes in x/country. Matti is involved in numerous school, church, and community activities. Coaches!!!! Contact Matti now for an outstanding point guard and spring tournament schedule!
